I know!!! Do they even think to realize that they need oxygen to breathe and that it would eventually run out if it was just the same old water all the time. They could change there water but thats just pointless when you can just get an aquarium.

oh yathat happened to me, my fish got stuck and one of his flippers got cut off so he could only swim with one flipper and he wouldnt eatbut sadly it died two days later
